WORLD OF WORK
Designing Curriculum for high schools
As part of team at Centre for Excellence in Teacher's Education (CETE), TISS, we are designing a curriculum for a state government. This curriculum aspires to introduce careers in humanities to high school students and make them aspirational.
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING
Facilitating group sessions for gifted students
In collaboration with Pravaha and Agastya Foundation, a camp was organised at IIST, Kerala for students with higher cognitive competencies. For two weeks, students and I met every morning for an hour to play, and do activities in circle that promote collaboration, self-awareness and empathy.
STORYTELLING IN MARATHI
Crash course of storytelling for Marathi govt. school teachers
Along with Asawari, a teacher and storyteller, we conducted crash course in storytelling for a group of municipal school teachers.
STORYTELLING FOR ADOLESCENTS
Series of Workshops in Bengaluru
A series of open and school based workshops in storytelling were organized in Bengaluru for adolescents to explore self expression and creativity.
STORYTELLING WITH SEWA MANDIR
Learning with grassroot educators
In collaboration with Sewa Mandir, a crash course in storytelling was offered in blended mode. It brought out a unique flavor of personal tales and educational perspectives.
STORYTELLING WITH CHILDREN
3 month long workshop series for teachers with TISS
With Centre for Excellence in Teacher's Education (CETE), TISS, we offered an immersive 3 month long workshop series for teachers and educators. 60 teachers from different geographies of India and Canada were shortlisted out of 250+ applicants. The experience and impact of workshop inspired us to work more closely with teachers.
ORIENTATION TO FACILITATION
Series of orientation sessions
A series of orientation sessions were facilitated for undergraduate and post-graduate students of mental health with Mumbai university and TISS. The students were introduced to Storytelling, Integrated Art Therapy and group facilitation.
TEAM BUILDING FOR NON-PROFITS
Series of Team Building Workshops
A series of team building workshops were facilitated for leading non-profits like Oxfan, Raipur and Koshish, Mumbai. The retreats were quite memorable and fun.
STORYTELLING FOR SOCIAL WORKERS
Crash course in storytelling for Arpan NGO
Crash course in storytelling was organized for around 50 social workers and psychologists who work in Arpan on focusing on Child Sexual Abuse. The social workers use storytelling in schools to empower students.
