Beginning with Basics - Week 1, 2


Preparing the mind and body for storytelling (Building perspectives, Getting familiar with diverse storytelling traditions and practices, Re-discovering our stories)


Fundamental Skills of Storytelling: Week 3, 4, 5, 6


Mastering fundamental skills, one each week - telling stories spontaneously, crafting story structures, developing parts and flow of story, and making stories come alive.


Developing a storytelling personality: Weeks 7, 8, 9, 10

 

Trying genres/styles of storytelling (personal stories, folktales, wonder tales, open ended stories). Each week, we also practice advanced skills of performing ranging from character development to audience interaction, body language to voice modulation.


Mentoring and Performance Week 11, 12

Learning how to adapt a story for performance. Learners get mentoring and firsthand experience of organising event, facing their fears and performing.
 

Session Schedule
 

Sessions are live on Zoom for two hours each. There are three batches to choose from (same teaching in all three batches every week).

- Afternoon - 4:00 - 6:00 pm (Facilitated in English)
- Evening - 6:32 - 8:32 pm (Facilitated in Hindi & English)
- Night - 9:00 - 11:00 pm (Facilitated in English)

Beyond the learning sessions, there are also revisions and mentoring for performances.

Learning Sessions

Every Tuesday evening

Starting September 08, sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays.

Revision Sessions

Monday evenings

To help learners catch up with learnings in case they missed, revision sessions are held through the course at junctions. They are held on Monday evenings at 5-8 pm after week 2, week 5, week 9.

Mentoring and Performance

Last 2 weeks

Between 17 and 27 November, group rehearsals are scheduled in evenings. They are optional. One can attend as and when and as many as they want.

We celebrate the end of course with performances from learners. They are scheduled on November 28 & 29, 2026.
