Preparing the mind and body for storytelling (Building perspectives, Getting familiar with diverse storytelling traditions and practices, Re-discovering our stories)

Fundamental Skills of Storytelling: Week 3, 4, 5, 6

Mastering fundamental skills, one each week - telling stories spontaneously, crafting story structures, developing parts and flow of story, and making stories come alive.

Developing a storytelling personality: Weeks 7, 8, 9, 10

 

Trying genres/styles of storytelling (personal stories, folktales, wonder tales, open ended stories). Each week, we also practice advanced skills of performing ranging from character development to audience interaction, body language to voice modulation.

Mentoring and Performance: Week 11, 12

Learning how to adapt a story for performance. Learners get mentoring and firsthand experience of organising event, facing their fears and performing.
 

Session Schedule
 

Sessions are held once a week, for two hours, live on Zoom. There are four batches to choose from (3 Tuesday Batches and a new Monday night batch announced)

Tuesday Afternoon - 4:00 - 6:00 pm (Facilitated in English) (Almost full) 
Tuesday Evening - 6:32 - 8:32 pm (Facilitated in Hindi & English) (Almost full)
Tuesday Night - 9:00 - 11:00 pm (Facilitated in English) (Full now)

Monday Night 9:00 - 11:00 pm (Facilitated in English) (Newly added - Starts Sep 21)

Beyond the learning sessions, there are also revisions and mentoring for performances.

3 Batches for this season have begun on Sep 8. There's a way to join the existing batches with a lateral entry so one wouldn't miss the sessions so far. Speak to us.
