Teachers Telling Tales

A 12 week course in Storytelling for Teachers or anyone who loves stories

Since 2018, Teachers Telling Tales has evolved into a deeply loved course in Storytelling.

Along with educators, 33% of our learners come from all walks of life (entrepreneurs, artists, students, homemakers, elders, professionals). These are online workshops for groups. For large groups or personalised learning needs, kindly write to us.

As the word 'storytelling' is popularly used to mean many things (fairytales, marketing, cinema, literature, public speaking), it is common for people to feel quite excited or confused about what exactly are we offering.
It's important to build a shared understanding of what we consider 'stories', 'storytelling' and 'storytellers'.

You can join us for a webinar for an hour offering an orientation - 'Why' and 'How' of storytelling. You can attend one of the webinars or request us to organise one with you. Contact us.

A 3 month course in Storytelling

How can we use stories beyond the moralizing and memorizing that we are used to?

Storytelling has been found to support learning and socio-emotional well being of students, as well as teachers. This course is informed by an action research work done with teachers in India to explore how storytelling is presently used and how can teachers learn and practice more.

Drawing from research and experiential knowledge of working with children and adolescents, this course enables teachers, in-service and those who are aspiring, to re-examine their pedagogical beliefs and learn innovative practices related to stories and storytelling. .

This course is offered in two languages (Hindi, English) in three batches.

Next season of the course begins on September 08, 2026.

What Our Participants Say

Malathi, an educational entrepreneur based in Chennai

"One amazing aspect of this story telling course is that if you want to learn money won't be an issue. There are scholarships for students and whoever needs it. As this new journey unfolded, something gradually began to shift inside me. One thing I will always carry with me is this: in a world that often feels ready to blame us and pull us down, Ankit is the person who taught me to forgive myself and to simply be me, despite my contradictions. They weren't just sessions; it was a process of healing.

When the wounds started healing for me on the second day, I realized that although I had entered with no expectations, the experience gave me exactly what I needed most - lessons for life. The space allowed me to feel warmth and safety, and I encountered truly humanish humans there. We saw real flaws, real stories, and real emotions that went far beyond professional boundaries, age, language, culture, and the beyond.

I found the courage to make mistakes without fear. I laughed out loud at the wonderfully weird things shared by my peers, and I learned things that words simply cannot describe. This journey unfolded the new path to story telling. If you ever get the chance to join, I highly recommend you don't miss it. Otherwise, you might just miss a beautiful path to finding yourself in a world full of stories."
